With summer fast approaching it's a good time to try and incorporate more fruits and vegetables into your diet. While I'd like to buy everything organic, sometimes my budget doesn't allow for it so I was excited to find a website that listed those vegetables that are sprayed with pesticides the most. That way I can buy those produce items from the organic section, lowering my family's pesticide consumption by nearly four-fifths. Then I can save my pennies by purchasing the top 15 cleanest produce items from conventional growers. I also try to buy my produce straight from the local Farmer's Market when they are in season and the least expensive. Community Supported Agriculture (CSA's) are another great way to save. Buy by far the cheapest way to get your produce is to grow it yourself!
